Maybe just a little tip, the Shanghai Metro is an excellent way to explore Shanghai. The network of lines is already huge and still growing. And on top is cheap, safe and there are no traffic jams…
So starting down Nanjing Road today I made nearly 300m until the first tried to sell me a cheap watch. Depending on the hour of the day, replace the watch by tea, massage, girls and \ or boys… quite annoying.
So I took my usual detour diving into the small alleys running parallel to the Nanjing Road. There are no annoying salesman and a lot more to discover of the real Chinese day to day living.
Back to the main tour and being there early I had the opportunity to see some Chinese workout.
And with the shops opening the glamorous side came up, fruit and yogurt traders along with the usual luxury brands.
Finally I arrived at the Bund and like every good tourist I took a picture of the Pudong skyline.
I’m always glad my Fuji supports instant panoramic pictures.
The street guard noticed my Fuji and started giving me directions to the best sight seeing spots right away.
Finally it took the Metro back to my hotel.
And finished the day with a decent cup of tea.
